Our Little Popy's Jampacked 5-day Vacation: Day 4 at Graceland Estates and Kamay ni Hesus Healing Center
We started our day with a hearty breakfast at Ninong Jun and Ninang Mylene's house. We all got up early and drove to the other end of the city where their house was.
The couple are one of my parents' principal sponsors during their wedding and had been long-time friends. I still remember visiting them during Christmas in the province and they used give as a hundred each when we were kids. I mean, a hundred? It made me feel rich! :)
So, here we go again.
Since Nawawalang Paraiso was fully-booked because of a company team building, we are forced to check out again at 12nn.
Ninang Mylene remembered she knew someone who rents out condo units at Graceland Estates and Country Club. Luckily, we were able to get one!
Graceland sits on 11 hectares of land. It has an in-house restaurant, pool, basketball court, tennis court, bike trail, boat wharf, camping grounds, playground for kids, manmade lagoon, and several accommodations, to name a few.
The unit we got was a studio, but was nicely designed. It also had extra mattresses and pillows. My parents stayed on the queen-sized bed and we stayed on the queen-sized extra mattress because the bed was so high. We're afraid Popy might roll off when he wakes up at night.
The unit was homey. It had a very comfy sofa, a four-seater dining set, fridge and microwave. Best thing? It was overlooking the pool and lush greenery of the estate. Lakas namin maka #rich dito. Hahaha!

We went to Kamay ni Hesus Healing Center in Lucban that afternoon. This used to be the church that we go to on Sundays despite residing in Tayabas. It's where Father Joey Faller , the healing priest, conducts his healing. Before, there was just the chapel, the open space where handprints of the people who helped in putting up the place were engraved, and the grotto. Now, it has grown to such a big big area. They have a store that sells religious items, a small prayer hill where Mary stands in the middle (it's the Holy Rosary, basically) looking at Jesus on top of the grotto (which is the Stations of the Cross). There's now a Garden of Eden, too, and Noah's Ark, a retreat house and some stalls for pasalubong.
That wrapped up our Quezon trip. Day 5 was spent waiting for the van my dad rented out, so we can all have a comfy travel back to Manila.
I would just like to thank my parents for this trip. We all enjoyed so much.

I would just like to thank my parents for this trip. We all enjoyed so much.

ReplyDeletemy father always tells me that our Lolos and Lolas sa tuhod are from Lucban, Quezon, who just decided to move to Paracale, Bicol. But there are many Deveza's in Lucban until now. If only my Lolo and Lola lived in Lucban, we would've visited Kamay ni Hesus long before.

ReplyDeleteMarami! Right in front may resort hotel. Batis Aramin. They have a lot of rooms. Mageenjoy ang kids kasi marami pool and activities. Not sure lang how much. We stayed in graceland sa other town. They're renting out the condos. The one we stayed in was P2500.

ReplyDeleteThe ever smiling guy seemed to have a great day communing with nature and being comfortable in his temporary bed. It is always refreshing to be out once in a while and just put aside work. Because after a well rested day or two, we will surely have all the energy to face the pending work we left behind.
ReplyDeleteHaven't been in Kamay Ni Hesus but whenever is Holy Week, it's always packed. When my relatives went there two years ago, it was like Divi daw but seeing your photo makes me want go visit it on a normal day. Kids when their saliva is dripping, meaning, they're having a lot of fun. Hehehe
ReplyDeleteOo, wag Holy Week. Unless hardcore religious, then maybe. Pero Holy Week, people are like ants na nagkakagulo. Not relaxing at all despite the place being holy and all.

ReplyDeleteI really want to go to Quezon and explore the area. Looks like there are a lot of really nice places to visit there. Will try to plan a trip once our newborn baby is a bit older. :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha. Yes, when little baby is bigger. It's a bit of a challenge for us kahit toddler na si Popy kasi we're commuters. Luckily, my dad rented out a van to take us back to Manila. Our Baguio trip (my most recent post), Popy pooped on the way back. Sa bus! Ang hiraaaaap. Hahaha!

ReplyDeleteKamay ni Jesus is a nice place to bring the family and maybe for some soul-searching also. My parents were from Quezon province but I haven't visited the place since most of the relatives moved in to Manila and other parts of the world.
